Democratic Primary Candidates Answer Your Questions

The upcoming Primary Election on June 24 (early voting begins June 14) includes several regions where multiple candidates are competing for the Democratic nomination.

These include:

• Legislative District 3 (roughly South & East Hills)

• Legislative District 13 (Caroline, Danby)

• Ward 1 Alderperson (roughly, West Side)

• Ward 3 Alderperson (roughly, South & East Hills)

• Ward 5 Alderperson (roughly, north of Cornell)

• Town of Danby Councilperson, 4-year term

Candidate Forums will be held for most of these (except for the Ward 3 Alderperson). Candidates will answer questions offered by members of the audience.

All Forums are moderated by the League of Women Voters of Tompkins County.

Format:

• 3-minute opening statements from each candidate

• Questions from the audience, asked anonymously
  (all candidates will give 1-minute answers)

• 2-minute closing statements from each candidate

LWV volunteers will distribute cards for questions.
The moderator will select questions and ask them.
