They did so by promising GOP House members that they will slash Social Security, Medicare and veterans’ healthcare as part of a future budget agreement. <p>The Post Office—USPS—raised postage rates on July 13. A first-class stamp went up from 73¢ to 78¢, a 6.8 percent increase. Other rates will also increase for an overall hike of about 7.4 percent.</p>

<p>The TCDC Annual Wine &amp; Cheese Spring fundraiser&nbsp;was held May 6 at the lovely Foundation of Light. Led by Events Committee Chair Susie Monagan, approximately 80 guests attended to enjoy delicious appetizers, sips of wine, and to socialize with friends and neighbors.</p>

<p>On Thursday, May 28 the TCDC joined more than 80 community groups and organizations to march in the 49<sup>th</sup> Annual Ithaca Festival Parade.</p>

<p>The Chair's Message for December gives tribute to former Assemblyman Marty Luster, who represented the 125th District. Our Assemblymember Anna Kelles follows with a tribute to his outstanding public service that continues to have an impact in New York State.</p>

<h4>TCDC Special Meeting</h4>

<p>TCDC’s 2026 Campaign Office opened to the public on Monday, August 3. The office is a shared space with the NY Dems Coordinated Campaign and the Josh Riley Campaign. It is located in the same building as it was in for the 2024 campaign: <strong><em>119 West Green Street in Ithaca,</em></strong> across the street from Press Bay Alley.</p>
