Judy Drake

candidate for Town Board

A native of the Town of Lansing, Judy has 29 years of experience working for Town of Ithaca as Human Resource Manager, including HR services for Bolton Point Water System and Municipal Health Insurance Consortium. She served for 8 years on Lansing Zoning Board of Appeals, 3 years as the Chair, gaining knowledge of Town zoning and other land use laws. Judy served as ZBA liaison to the Lansing Agricultural Committee during the revision of the Agriculture (AG) zone and Residential Agriculture (RA) zone.

Judy looks forward to continuing to serve the community of Lansing, working to update zoning for the town's Comprehensive Plan, strengthening intermunicipal cooperation, and maintaining Lansing's rural character while planning for growth.

Judy is a seventh-generation Lansing resident, raised on a dairy farm in North Lansing and a proud graduate of Lansing High School. Her children Lizzy and Brandon are also Lansing High graduates.

Joe Wetmore

candidate for Town Board

Lansing resident since 2012, Joseph Wetmore brings a deep commitment to community, environmental stewardship, and thoughtful growth. As the retired owner of a successful used bookstore in Downtown Ithaca, Joseph offers valuable small business experience and a strong understanding of local needs.

A key player in preserving the Bell Station lands, Joseph has demonstrated a long-standing dedication to protecting our natural environment for future generations. He was a driving force behind the creation of Lansing’s Conservation Advisory Council, which works to consider ways the town might approach future protection of land. He has also been actively involved in building a community trail network that promotes outdoor recreation and healthy living.

Joseph has taken the lead in addressing Lansing’s outdated zoning laws, working to ensure responsible planning and smart growth. Now running for his third term on the Lansing Town Board, he is committed to seeing the new zoning plan through to completion, helping shape a future that preserves the rural character and natural areas valued by Lansing residents.
